Reliance General Insurance has partnered with Swiggy, India’s leading on-demand convenience delivery platform, to offer insurance protection to its fleet of 3 lakh delivery partners across the country. The insurance plan covers health insurance, personal accident and accidental death, and mobile phone damages. Gallagher Insurance Brokers Pvt. Ltd. will act as the intermediary between the two companies.
Under the Group Mediclaim policy, Swiggy’s delivery partners can avail of OPD treatment, medical hospitalization, maternity cover, and other essential benefits as per the eligibility criteria of the master policy. The Group Personal Accident policy covers accidental death and accidental permanent partial disablement. In the case of accidental temporary total disablement, the insured partner will receive a loss of pay benefit during recovery. The policy also covers damages to mobile phones due to an accident.
