[Tesla in India] Tesla still mulls to start its operations in India due to the ongoing impasses with the Indian government. Amidst the growing market in India for the last three years, Tesla could not launch its operations in the country. The Centre’s import duties and local manufacturing issues reportedly led Elon Mask to make his efforts a snail steps.
Meanwhile many Indian states are inviting Elon Mask to set their shop in their states. Telangana Industries and Commerce Minister KTR invited Elon to establish their firm in their state. YSR Congress Party MLA from Andhra Pradesh Dr. Siddhareddy too invited Elon.
Assuring to extend all the support from the state government’s the two leaders from the Telugu states invited Tesla. Many are supporting the extended invitation by the two leaders. Taking from AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi to personalities from the film fraternity welcomed KT Rama Rao’s invitation to Tesla CEO Elon Musk to set up their unit in Telangana. Mr. Owaisi also hoped the company responds positively to the invitation.
“Telangana is a progressive State and became an investment destination in the country. It has got the requisite infrastructure and the State government extends all support to industrialists to set up their businesses in the state. I hope the company responds positively,” Owaisi said.
Elon has not yet responded in this regard so far. The extended invitation by the two states is still at the consideration of Tesla.
